Anxiety-Friendly Dental Care in Brighton

If dental visits make you uneasy, tell us before you arrive. We can plan more time, explain each step before it happens, agree on a stop signal, and let you take breaks rather than pushing through the appointment.

A note on general dentistry: Mountain View Family Dental is a general dentistry practice. Dr. John Schmidt is a general dentist, not an ADA-recognized specialist, and provides general dentistry as part of general practice. Where treatment is better handled by a specialist, we will refer you.

Comfort

A Calmer Way to Visit the Dentist

Mountain View Family Dental does not offer in-office sedation. Our approach is built around communication, local anesthetic when treatment requires it, and practical comfort measures.

Comfort Options at the Office

Patients may ask for a blanket, pillow, headphones, or a different way of positioning the chair. When clinically appropriate, technologies such as the Solea laser may also reduce the need for a traditional drill or local anesthetic for some procedures, but that depends on the treatment.

Plan the Visit With Us

When you book, tell us what has been difficult before and what would help. That can include fear of needles, sounds, a sensitive gag reflex, or simply wanting to know what is happening. We will document the plan for the team.
