This represents a significant improvement from the previous $1,500 annual limit.

Children’s Dental Benefits

Children under 21 receive comprehensive dental coverage through the Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) program. This means children can receive any medically necessary dental service, including preventive care, treatments, and specialized procedures when recommended by their dentist.

Adult Dental Benefits

Adult members (21 and older) have access to a wide range of dental services including preventive care, diagnostic services, basic restorative treatments, and emergency care. The program covers essential services such as routine cleanings, examinations, X-rays, fillings, extractions, and other necessary treatments to maintain oral health.

Who Qualifies for Health First Colorado?

Health First Colorado serves various groups of Colorado residents, including:

Low-income families and individuals
Children and pregnant women
People with disabilities
Seniors who meet income requirements
Adults under 65 with household income up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level

Eligibility is primarily based on income, household size, and other specific circumstances. The program also covers lawfully present immigrants and, starting in 2025, will extend coverage to undocumented children and pregnant women who would otherwise qualify based on income.
